Why Yoga And Riding

Workshops and Classes

Currently Offered:

Integrated Riding® combines principles of yoga as an internal frame of reference for riding instruction.  Most of our riding lessons are taught from this framework.

Corral Pals is a riding program for 3-6 year olds.    Groups are 4-6 kids and all riders have a leader.  Riders play games to improve balance and strength, as well as increasing their knowledge of and comfort around horses.

Barn Cats  is an after school program for those kids who just wish they could spend more time at the barn.  Kids help with barn chores, plan events (such as Khadence's birthday party), and groom horses.  Barn Cats is for riders who have been riding with us for at least 6 months.

Equestrian Performance Workshops focus on developing Integrated Riding skills or working with Horse/Human Behavior issues:

Integrated movement through horse and rider: A combination of yoga and riding to develop a harmonious and balanced seat, while exploring the internal processes and experiences of the body, rather than focusing on an external form.

Programming includes:

  • Individual and group riding instruction, combining balanced seat instruction with yoga techniques to create an embodied horse and rider team.

  • Private and Group horsemanship education classes.

Workshop Designs and Locations:

Traveling Consultations and Workshops available upon request:

At your barn or at our barn, incorporating unmounted and mounted exercises and explorations.

At a studio, focusing on yoga as it relates to body awareness and integrated riding.

Follow-up individual sessions with your horse (unmounted or mounted) are also available after this workshop.

Series of classes and experiential education classes also available for groups and individuals.
